Irvis was the winning pitcher in both of LIU's victories at the competitive FGCU Kickoff Classic. The junior tossed 15.2 innings over three starts and finished with a 2-1 record, 0.89 ERA and 14 strikeouts. The highlight of her week was earning a victory over a Florida Golf Coast team that received votes in the NFCA/USA Today coaches preseaon poll. Irvis gave up one earned run on just two hits through five innings of work as LIU went on post a 3-2 win over FGCU on Sunday. Her first win of the season came against Kent State the previous day when she threw a complete game eight-hitter, allowing only one run en route to a 3-1 victory.
