Kimble collected his first weekly award of the indoor season after setting a Mount record and establishing a new NEC season-best time in the 60 meter dash. He was first timed at 6.77 in the prelims before crossing the finish line at 6.79 in the finals. Kimble placed first out of collegiate runners in the field at the Akron Invitational. The Cleveland, OH product also won the 200 meter race for the Gold Division title, posting a 21.63 for the NEC's second-best time of the season. Both of Kimble's sprints would have earned a gold medal at the 2018 NEC Championships.
