Parker was the only thrower in the NEC to set a new league standard last week with a shot put of 14.65 meters. The toss bettered the ECAC qualifying mark of 13.50 by a wide margin, while also breaking her own school record of 14.40 meters. A winner at the NEC Championships in this event last year, Parker's throw improved on her mark from last February by .27 meters.
