Turner collected his first NEC Field Athlete honor of the season after he set a new personal record and qualifyied for IC4A's in the shot put. His 15.76 meter throw surpassed the 15.70 qualifying mark, and was good enough to defeat LIU's three-time NEC Field Athlete of the Week honoree Clinton Belle. Turner finished fourth overall in the event out of 25 competitors at the UAlbany Great Dane Classic, but was second among collegians. The Norwalk, CT native's performance ranks him second in the NEC this season, behind Belle's standard of 16.17 that he set in early December. That wasn't it for Turner, however, as he also set a personal-best in the weight throw with a 15.05 meter toss, moving him to fourth on the NEC leaderboard.
