Chasovskaia sprinted her way to the top of the NEC performance list in the 400m dash. Lifting the lid off her junior season, the Russian-born Colonial won her heat and finished 11th overall out of 62 competitors at the Youngstown State Icebreaker. Clocking in at 57.96, Chasovskaia became the first NEC quarter-miler to break the 58-second barrier this season. She needs to trim only 1.02 seconds off her season-opening time to earn automatic entry into the ECAC Championships. The performance ranks the third-year Colonial 18th overall on the ECAC regional leader board.
