Belle set the Blackbirds’ program record in the shot put for the second week in a row. Adding to his NEC lead in the event, the New York City product put the shot 16.17m (53’ 0.75”) to finish first amongst all Division I competitors at the Wagner College Shootout on Staten Island. One week after striking gold at Ocean Breeze’s Fastrack Metro Season Opener, Belle tacked 19 centimeters onto his LIU Brooklyn record mark. Belle, who settled for silver at the 2018 NEC Indoor Championships last February, currently ranks 16th overall on the early-season list of IC4A Championship qualifiers.
