Montes de Oca delivered the best performance of her collegiate career at the ECAC Championships last weekend to garner Swimmer of the Meet honors. In a meet that also featured Central Connecticut, LIU Brooklyn, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis U and Wagner, the redshirt freshman collected two gold and two silver medals, and shattered six school records. She registered the NEC's fastest time this season in the 1,650 freestyle by more than 30 seconds and established a new program mark with a 16:52.97 showing that was also good for first place. Her 200 free time of 1:52.42 was also a school record and secured her second gold medal of the competition. Montes de Oca was also the runner-up in the 500 free and 200 butterfly. Along with posting the NEC's top time this season in the 1,650 free, all four of her individual swims rank among the top-4 in the Conference in those respective events.
