Fulse ran his way back into second place on the Division I FCS rushing leader board by carrying the ball 38 times for 218 yards and three touchdowns against Bryant. The senior running back also added 28 yards and one touchdown on two receptions in the 52-36 road win. Fulse wasted no time setting the tone on Saturday in Smithfield. He rushed for 44 yards on the game’s opening possession, capping the drive with a two-yard touchdown burst on a 3rd-and-Goal play. Fulse found the end zone again in the second quarter, bumping the Seahawks’ lead to 17-0. After grinding out a total of 25 yards on four consecutive carries, Fulse cashed in on a 3rd-and-Goal rush from the 3. Wagner’s workhorse went on to score twice more during the runaway victory. After Bryant cut Wagner’s lead to 38-28 midway through the third quarter, Fulse needed only two plays to answer back. Following a five-yard gain on first down of the ensuing possession, Fulse broke off a 53-yard scoring scamper. The league’s leading rusher gave Wagner its largest lead of the game when his 28-yard touchdown reception bumped the score to 52-28 midway through the final period.
