WEEK 2 STATS: 19.5 ppg, 2.0 rpg, .545 3FG pct., .941 FT pct.
Johnson shook off a slow start and accounted for an offensive explosion as St. Francis Brooklyn played three games in three days at Morehead State's Vinewood Farms Classic. The Aussie-born baller led the circuit in scoring last week, averaging 19.3 points per contest and shooting 45.5 percent from the floor. Johnson was especially effective from downtown, sinking 12 of 22 three-point field goal attempts over the three-game span. The shooting guard, who started out 5-for-5 from the free throw line, did not hit her first field goal until the fourth quarter of Friday's triumph over Chicago State. Johnson's traditional three-point play put the Terriers over the 100-point mark with 4:06 remaining in an eventual 110-73 triumph. Johnson poured in a game-high 24 points on Saturday, hitting six triples in a two-point setback to Valparaiso. Helping the Terriers score in triple digits for the third time in the season's first five games, Johnson tallied a NEC single-game season high 27 points during Sunday's 101-94 victory over tournament host Morehead State. She was near-perfect from the charity stripe during her three-day stay in Kentucky, making 16 of 17 free throw attempts.
