Rafter garners her third weekly award of the season with a top-5 showing at CCSU's Mini Meet. The sophomore's been the NEC's best finisher in three of the four races she competed in this year. She navigated the 3k course at New Britain's Stanley Quarter Park in 10:12.13 to place fifth in a field of 99 that included runners from Providence, Boston College, Dartmouth, New Hampshire, UMass Lowell and conference rival Bryant. A 13th place finisher at the 2017 NEC Championships her freshman year, Rafter will now look to threaten for gold on Saturday at the Conference Championships after an impressive season.
