Spitaleri, a 2017 NEC All-Rookie honoree, erupted with a strong offensive performance netting a hat-trick and scoring all three goals in the Bulldogs shutout win over LIU Brooklyn. The junior Connetquot product put her team on the board early when she battled off Blackbird defenders to head in a corner kick from teammate Corinne Rey. Spitaleri notched another just over 12 minutes later, this time off a nice through-ball from Rachel Benx, to extend the Bulldog lead to 2-0 in the 27th minute. She then finished off her scoring by showing off some artful technique, knocking down a header and then slicing the ball into the left-netting. Spitaleri currently leads her team in both goals (5) and points (10) this season.
