WEEK 5 STATS: 10 receptions, 127 receiving yards, 3 TD receptions

Wilson had his way with Monmouth's secondary during the OuterBridge Rivalry revival at the Jersey Shore. The veteran receiver caught 10 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns in the 54-47 setback. He found paydirt for the first time on a 2nd-and-11 play from the Monmouth 23-yard line, beating the defender down the right sideline and pulling in a pass in the end zone to give the visiting Seahawks a 14-2 lead. Wilson was in the end zone again on the game's next offensive snap. With Wagner earning a 1st-and-10 just outside the red zone thanks to a takeaway on the ensuing kickoff, Wilson was on the receiving end of a 26-yard scoring strike that bumped the lead to 21-2 only 9:41 into the opening quarter. After Monmouth stormed back to claim a 29-27 advantage, Wilson answered with his third touchdown of the day. On 3rd-and-Goal from the 3, Wilson out-leapt a defender to secure a jump ball in the back corner of the end zone. Earlier on the touchdown drive, he converted a 3rd-and-4 by gaining 23 yards on a pass play. With Wagner clinging to a 33-32 third-quarter lead, Wilson brought the Seahawks into the red zone on a 27-yard reception down to the Monmouth 5. Wilson's 127 receiving yards are the third-highest single-game total by a NEC athlete against a Division I opponent this season.
