WEEK 4 STATS: 3 receptions, 118 receiving yards, 2 TD receptions
Brantley was on the receiving end of two long scoring strikes during Sacred Heart’s road win over NEC rival Wagner. The Garden State product finished the 41-14 triumph with three catches for 118 yards. Brantley’s first trip to pay dirt came on a 1st-and-10 play from the opponent’s 45-yard line, bumping SHU’s advantage to 21-7 with 3:02 left in the first half. The first-year Pioneer struck again on the opening drive of the fourth quarter. After making an 11-yard catch to give Sacred Heart a manageable 3rd-and-6 situation, he pulled in a pass down the near sideline and streaked 62 yards on the next play. He also had a 14-yard reception negated due to an ineligible man downfield penalty in the first quarter.
