Wright halted Robert Morris’ first and last drives of the game in similar fashion – sacking the opposing quarterback and forcing fumbles that were recovered by the defense. The 6-foot-2 Bulldog totaled seven tackles, including 4.0 tackles for a loss, during Bryant’s 49-46 win on Homecoming and Reunion Weekend in Smithfield. Trying to preserve a 49-46 lead with under 3:00 to go in the game, Wright recorded a strip sack and proceeded to recover the loose ball at RMU’s 13-yard line. Earlier, with Robert Morris driving on its first possession and facing a 1st-and-10 from Bryant’s 33-yard line, Wright burst into the backfield and stripped the ball from quarterback Jimmy Walker. The Bulldogs recovered at their own 43-yard line and scored the game’s first touchdown on the ensuing possession. Wright also logged a half-sack that helped force a three-and-out for RMU early in the third quarter. In addition to 1.5 tackles for loss on run plays, Wright twice dropped the ball carrier for no gain.
