Hughes finished a breakout week offensively scoring three goals in two games for the Mount. The Hershey, PA product began the week with a brace in a 4-3 loss to UMBC on Wednesday. The senior then continued her solid play on the pitch with a crucial goal in the Mount's conference opener against Fairleigh Dickinson, curving a free kick from the corner just out of the goalkeeper's reach to tie the game at one. The goal proved to be the game's final tally as the Mount earned a quality draw against last year's NEC Tournament finalist. Hughes now leads the Mount in points with eight on the season.
