WEEK 3 STATS: 10 total tackles (9 solo), 2.0 TFL, PBU
Zanotto recorded 10 total tackles (9 solo) against PFL member Dayton and delivered three key stops with the game’s outcome hanging in the balance. With the Dukes protecting a 31-26 lead in the final four minutes of regulation, Zanotto logged tackles on three consecutive plays in the red zone. On 1st-and-Goal from the Duquesne 6-yard line, the veteran linebacker stopped Dayton quarterback Jack Cook at the line of scrimmage. Next, Zanotto dropped ball carrier Richie Warfield for no gain on the second down play. On third down, the Keystone State product snuffed out a toss play and tackled the rusher for a four-yard loss to force Dayton into a 4th-and-Goal situation from the 10. Zanotto also derailed a scoring threat from Dayton on the opening possession of the second half. Spearheading the Dukes’ stout goal line defense, he made two tackles inside the 3-yard line before Duquesne finally denied the Flyers on a fumble. Zanotto forced Dayton to punt early in the second quarter when he broke up a pass play on 3rd-and-4 from the Dukes’ 48.
