Awad collected her second weekly honor after scoring a goal in each of the Blackbirds' games last week. Facing a 6-1 Hartford team on Thursday, the senior midfielder took a nice pass in stride from freshman Emily Poole and finished from 10 yards out to tie the game at two in the 60th minute. The Israeli native came through in the clutch on Sunday, using her finesse to place a chip just out of the goalkeeper's reach for the golden goal in a 1-0 overtime victory for the Blackbirds over Iona. Awad has scored five of LIU's nine goals this season to rank second in the NEC.
