Rivera, the 2017 NEC Tournament MVP, delivered her best weekend stretch of the 2018 season thus far, posting an impressive 6.46 digs per set in three matches at the Blackbird Invitational. Rivera dug up 33 Holy Cross attempts to lead the Blackbirds to a four-set win on Friday. The 33 digs established a new NEC single-match high this season. The Cayey, Puerto Rico native added another 22 and 29 digs, respectively, in a pair of tightly contested losses to USF and George Washington on Saturday. Rivera leads the NEC by a wide margin with 5.03 digs per set on the year.
