Entering her second collegiate season as the Bulldog libero, Ward showed off her defensive prowess to lead Bryant to a 2-1 record at the UIC Invitational. The Rochester, MI native finished the three matches with 4.27 digs per set. She opened the 2018 campaign with a 16-dig performance in a losing effort against tournament host UIC. The following day, Ward dug up 21 of Central Michigan's attempts to lead the Bulldogs to their first win of the season. The sophomore finished her successful weekend for the Black & White by adding another 10 digs in a 3-0 sweep over Maryland Eastern Shore.
