Nesmith took the NEC lead in the 400m hurdles on March 31 and has retained it since. In her final tune-up prior to the NEC Outdoor Championships, the defending league champion crossed the line in 1:00.97 at the CCSU Invitational. That time, which is Nesmith’s second-fastest of the season, is good enough to lead the conference by more than 1.0 second. The third-year Blue Devil currently sits in the No. 24 spot on the list of ECAC Championships qualifiers.
