Roberts appears ready to defend his NEC outdoor high jump title. The veteran Blackbird cleared 2.16m (7’ 1”) while competing at the Penn Relays. The height, which leads the Northeast Conference by 12 centimeters, ranks Roberts fourth overall amongst IC4A Championship qualifiers. Roberts is only one of 20 men to have leapt at least 2.16m this season. He has the ability to threaten the NEC Championship meet record (2.18m) this upcoming weekend at Mount St. Mary’s.
