Grigoryan earned her second NEC Player of the Week nod of the spring season to go along with her three NEC Player of the Month honors from the fall campaign. She comes off a 3-1 week at #1 singles for the Blackbirds, who ran their NEC record to 5-0 and locked up the top seed in this weekend’s NEC Tournament with wins over FDU, Wagner and Sacred Heart. The Moscow native dispatched all three of her conference rivals in straight sets, dropping a mere nine games in the process. Grigoryan’s lone blemish came in a three-set setback (6-2, 3-6, 6-3) to Stony Brook’s Elizabeth Tsvetkov, an All-America East and All-Missouri Valley player the last two years. She leads the NEC this year in singles wins (21), win percentage (.750), #1 singles wins (14) and #1 singles win percentage (.875). Grigoran also won all four of her #1 flight doubles matches with partner Ana Leonte. The duo has posted a 15-3 record in 2017-18.
