O’Rourke flooded the stat sheet yet again to pick up his second consecutive NEC Player & Rookie of the Week awards. After scoring six goals in Bryant’s first conference game, O’Rourke racked up five more and added six ground balls to lead the Bulldogs to their second NEC win over, a 16-7 triumph over Sacred Heart on Saturday. In a very competitive first half, the Hingham, MA product netted three timely goals in the second quarter to either tie the game or take the lead. With the score deadlocked at intermission, the Bulldogs came out firing in the second half, outscoring SHU 9-0 the remainder of the way as O’Rourke tallied twice more. The freshman has established himself as a key finisher on the team with a team-high 22 goals, including 11 in two NEC contests.
