Oropeza earned dual NEC Player and Rookie of the Week honors following a perfect 3-0 week in singles play during Bryant’s trip to Bradenton, FL. She came from behind to post three-set wins over Army’s Sasha Inchause (1-6, 6-3, 6-2) in a #3 flight match and Quinnipiac’s Courtney Nash (2-6, 6-1, 6-0) at the #5 spot. Oropeza wrapped the trip with a 6-2, 6-4 conquest of Northern Iowa’s Valentina Caro at #5 singles. The Weston, FL product is now 9-4 in singles play and 5-2 in doubles competition in her first collegiate season.
