NEC Player of the Month
Grigoryan picked up her third NEC Player of the Month award of the 2017-18 season after going 5-1 at #1 singles to begin her spring season. Grigoryan, the reigning NEC Player of the Year, picked up straight set wins over All-Atlantic 10 first teamer Ruth Crawford of UMass and All-ASUN first team performer Mayar Eltony of NJIT. She knocked off Bryant’s Ashanti Campfield, 6-1, 6-1, and also had a match with A10 all-star Carina Ma of Fordham halted after they split the first two sets. Grigoryan, who was 5-2 in doubles action teaming with Ana Leonte, improved her singles record to 12-6 in 2017-18. Her play sparked the Blackbirds to a 7-1 dual meet record over the first six weeks of spring play.
