WEEK 12 STATS: 12 starts, 20.18 overall frame average, .875 filled frames pct., .492 strike pct.

The reigning NEC Bowler of the Year caught fire on the final two days of the regular season conference schedule to lead the Pioneers to a first-place finish atop the standings. After a slow start during Friday’s traditional team rounds, Nardiello wound up with a 20.18 overall frame average for the three-day conference meet. The senior southpaw filled 87.5 percent of frames and threw a league-high 59 strikes in 120 attempts (.492). The clutch performer made all 33 of her single-pin spare attempts over the course of the weekend and also struck on 67 percent of her tenth-frame opportunities. Nardiello accounted for a 195.3 game average during the traditional team portion of the event, including a 218-pin showing in a win over LIU Brooklyn. Nardiello, who rolled a 214 in a victory over St. Francis Brooklyn, registered her high game in a two-pin setback to longtime rival FDU. After a ball change in the 6th frame, Nardiello struck in the 8th and 9th before doubling in the 10th to finish with a 220. The Garden State product was sensational during baker play on Sunday. She threw 12 strikes in 16 shots to power the Pioneers past Caldwell and filled 10 frames in a win over St. Francis Brooklyn. Leading SHU to a 1059-949 triumph over FDU, Nardiello struck 12 times while producing a clean game.
