Holloway led Bryant in scoring and was a beast on the boards during a 2-0 road swing that bumped the Bulldogs into sole possession of third place in the NEC standings. Victimizing Mount St. Mary’s and Wagner, the sophomore small forward produced two straight 20-point performances while shooting 48.5 percent from the floor. Holloway, who recorded back-to-back doubles to run her season total to 12 (2nd in NEC), averaged 22.0 points and 14.5 rebounds per victory. The 5-foot-10 sophomore went for 20 points and 15 rebounds during a 67-64 triumph over Mount St. Mary’s in Knott Arena. Helping the Bulldogs hang on for the win, Holloway scored seven of the team’s last 11 points. Less than 48 hours later, she spearheaded a comeback effort during a Presidents’ Day matinee at Wagner. Holloway accounted for 24 points, 14 rebounds and four steals in a game that the Bulldogs trailed by as many as 18 points. She scored 10 points over the game’s final 9:30, fueling a fourth-quarter spurt that allowed Bryant to take control and complete the second-largest comeback ever in a NEC contest. Holloway’s layup with 6:06 remaining gave the Bulldogs their first lead, a 56-55 advantage, since late in the first quarter. Bryant led the rest of the way en-route to a 70-60 win.
