Hue solidified her status as a favorite for the NEC Indoor 500m crown. Competing at the 500m distance for the first time since December 1, the French-born Blackbird crossed the line in 1:13.70 at the Metropolitan Championships. Hue’s performance landed her a silver medal at the Mets and moved the junior up to ninth place overall on the ECAC regional leader board. She is more than 3.0 seconds better than the conference’s next-ranked 500m performer. In addition to her NEC-best 500m time, Hue ranks sixth overall amongst NEC 800m leaders.
