Fresh off being named Fairleigh Dickinson’s NJAIAW Woman of the Year Award recipient, Thompson contested the 800m run at Arkansas’ Tyson Invitational. In her final tune-up prior to the 2018 NEC Indoor Championships, the British-born Knight completed her signature event in 2:09.84. That time, which was the second-fastest amongst collegiate-level finishers at Arkansas, is good enough to lead the Northeast Conference, but it is a bit slower than the seasonal best (2:08.11) that Thomson recorded at Boston U’s John Thomas Terrier Invitational on January 26. Thompson has set the NEC Indoor Championships 800m meet record each of the past two years.
