Preparing for his NEC Indoor Championships debut, Gill ran the 800m at Boston University’s David Hemery Valentine Invitational and posted an IC4A Championships qualifying time in the process. The CCSU rookie won his heat in 1:54.46, edging out UMass senior Russell Wells. The performance moved Gill into second place on the NEC leader board one week ahead of the league’s championship meet.
