One week after vaulting his way into sole possession of first place on the NEC leader board, Del Cerro went higher while competing at the Towson Tiger Invitational and has a program record to show for it. The Spanish-born sophomore cleared 4.90m to out-class the field at Towson en-route to his third gold medal of the season. The height, which leads the conference by 25 centimeters, establishes Del Cerro as a threat to the 17-year old NEC Championship meet record (4.88m). The sophomore ranks 11th overall on the list of automatic qualifiers for the IC4A Championships in March.
