Jones contested the 1000m run for the first time as a collegian and the result was an ECAC Championships qualifying time. The Red Flash freshman finished second overall at Bucknell’s Gulden Invitational, crossing the line in 2:56.44. When converted for track size, that time shrinks to 2:54.54. On the list of 45 ECAC Championships qualifiers, Jones owns the No. 28 ranking.
