Not bad for his first half-mile of the season. Contesting an 800m race indoors for the first time since last winter, Guerrera instantly grabbed a hold of first place in the NEC by recording one of the top times in NCAA Division I. The NEC Indoor Championships meet record holder crossed the line in 1:48.41 at Boston U’s John Thomas Terrier Invitational. Competing in the fastest of the meet’s 15 heats, Guerrera finished third overall and posted the best time by a collegian. As a result, he leads the NEC by more than 7.0 seconds and owns the second-fastest time amongst all IC4A Championship qualifiers. While breaking a five-year old SHU program record, Guerrera moved into sixth place on the Division I national leader board.
