Storck set and subsequently re-set her career-high scoring total as the Pioneers faced a pair of Ocean State-based opponents last week. The junior guard averaged 26.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 57.0 percent from the floor. After dropping 23 points in a mid-week setback to Ivy League member Brown, Storck poured in a game-high 29 points to spearhead SHU's victory over Big East member Providence. Playing 39 minutes of the 78-75 triumph over the Friars, the 5-foot-9 guard shot 67 percent from the field while making a NEC single-game seasson high 12 field goals. Her final make cut the Pioneers' deficit to 75-74 with 1:38 remaining in the fourth quarter. After posting a 4-for-6 sample from three-point range against Brown, Storck victimized Providence with her mid-range stroke as she made 11 of 14 attempts from inside the arc in the victory. Storck is one of three different NEC players to score at least 29 points in a game this season. Her team-leading 16.7 points per game season average is tied for second place in the conference.
