Silvester continued his effective string of punting during Wagner's trip to Duquesne. Not affected by the winds on The Bluff, the first-year Seahawk successfully dropped three of his five kicks inside the Dukes' 20-yard line. Silvester, who leads the league in punting average through the season's first six weeks, punted five times for a total of 199 yards against the NEC preseason favorites in their league lidlifter. Silvester's first boot netted 42 yards following a three-yard return to the Duquesne 15. His next kick was fair caught at the opponent's 12-yard line. Silvester's most-effective punt of the day travelled 44 yards before being downed at the Duquesne 1-yard line.
