STAT LINE: 8 total tackles (7 solo), 2.5 TFL
Zanotto's stalwart defensive effort contributed to the Dukes' first shutout since 2014. Logging a game-high eight tackles in Duquesne's NEC opener against Wagner, the sophomore linebacker delivered seven hits that limited the offense to two yards or less on the play. Zanotto, a Keystone State product who began his collegiate career at Maryland, recorded 2.5 tackles for loss over the first 45:00 of the 38-0 victory. Going up against two running backs who enjoyed 100-yard performances in last week's win over Lehigh, Zanotto made four first-half tackles on rushing plays that netted Wagner a total of -2 yards. His final tackle of the game came late in the third quarter when he snuffed out a screen pass and dropped Ryan Fulse for a five-yard loss on a 2nd-and-9 play.
