Ennis quintupled his season total for receptions during a breakout day at the wide receiver position. Having already gained notoriety for his kick return success, the 5-foot-8 freshman totaled eight catches for 69 yards and one touchdown in a 29-26 setback to undefeated Dartmouth. Ennis, who had made only two catches for 14 yards over the season’s first five games, caught five passes during the first half against the Big Green. Ennis was on the receiving end of Kevin Dukes’ highlight-reel worthy 31-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter, successfully securing the ball in the back of the end zone on a broken play. Ennis added two receptions for 13 yards on SHU’s final possession of the first half, which ended with a field goal that extended the Pioneers’ lead to 23-14. Helping SHU tack on another field goal on the opening drive of the third quarter, the Garden State product made catches on back-to-back plays to set up SHU with a first down near midfield.
