Turner's breakthrough performance helped Sacred Heart to a road win over NEC rival Robert Morris. The rookie defensive back totaled 10 stops, including eight of the solo variety, while registering one pass break-up and blocking a pair of punts. Turner first made his presence felt during RMU’s third possession, helping to force a three-and-out by sacking the quarterback for a seven-yard loss on second down. With RMU punting from its own 28-yard line late in the second quarter, Turner got a hand on Adam Check’s kick that netted only 24 yards. He deflected another punt midway through the third period. Two of his tackles on run defense stopped the opponent for no gain.
