STAT LINE: 160 scrimmage yards, 123 rush yards, 28 rush attempts, 3 receptions, 37 yards
Hines totaled 160 yards from scrimmage, the league’s highest total for Week 8, in Duquesne's convincing victory over defending NEC champion Saint Francis. Going up against the conference’s top-ranked defense, the sophomore running back carried a workman-like 28 times for 123 yards during the 24-7 triumph at Rooney Field. The 2016 STATS Jerry Rice Award winner led a Dukes’ rushing attack that gained 235 yards, more than any other SFU opponent this season. Seven of Hines’ rushes directly resulted in a first down, including five in the first half as the Dukes did all of their scoring before the break. Both of his pass receptions moved the chains on 3rd-and-long. After SFU jumped out to a 7-0 lead, Hines took a pass 24 yards on 3rd-and-7 to set up an eventual field goal during the team’s first drive of the game. He recorded a 13-yard catch on 3rd-and-11, giving the Dukes a first down at the SFU 37 on the first possession of the second half.
