Wagner produced its highest offensive output of the season against Lehigh and Knight was a key culprit behind the effort. The veteran tailback needed only 17 touches to gain 199 yards from scrimmage. Knight, who averaged 10.9 yards per carry, ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts. The 6-foot-2 ball carrier also logged 47 yards on three receptions out of the backfield. After only 20 yards on four carries over the first 30:00, Knight erupted in the second half. Two snaps after the second-half kickoff, Knight took a screen pass 39 yards into Lehigh territory and the Seahawks found pay dirt two plays later. He opened Wagner’s next possession with a 16-yard burst and later finished off the drive with a 24-yard touchdown run that bumped Wagner’s lead to 31-14. Helping the Seahawks salt away the win, Knight picked up a first down with under 5:00 remaining before breaking free for a 60-yard scoring scamper one play later. In addition to the two scores, Knight recorded six first downs in the 37-20 triumph.
