After collecting three hits and two runs in a mid-week bout against Big Ten member Rutgers, the 6-foot-7 redshirt freshman clobbered four home runs in the first two games of Wagner’s road set at NEC rival Fairleigh Dickinson. For the series, Sabido batted .538 (7-for-13) with five runs scored and six RBI. He touched them all for the first time in the fourth inning of the series opener against FDU, blasting a one-out solo shot that cut Wagner’s deficit to 2-1. Leading off the sixth frame, the left-handed thumper yanked a 1-1 pitch over the right field fence for the Seahawks’ third run of the game. He also singled twice in the 10-8 setback. He went deep again in the first and ninth innings of Game 2, powering Wagner to a 5-4 triumph. With the Seahawks trailing, 4-3, and down to their final out, Sabido blasted a two-run shot to centerfield. The native Staten Islander reached base safely three times (single, two walks) in the series finale, a 6-3 victory for Wagner.
