WEEK 11 STATS: 4 appearances, .533 BA (8-for-15), 5 runs, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 2 HBP, .600 OBP
Wright was a driving force behind Bryant’s four-game NEC series sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson in Smithfield. The freshman first baseman accounted for a .600 on-base percentage for the series and scored at least on run in each of the Bulldogs’ four victories. Buoyed by a monster 4-for-4 performance in the series opener, he batted .533 (8-for-15) with two walks, three HBP, five RBI and five runs scored for the weekend.  Wright reached base safely six times in Friday’s opener and his two-RBI single in the third inning supplied Bryant with its first runs of the eventual 15-5 triumph. After one hit and one run in the first half of Saturday’s doubleheader, the left-handed hitter produced two hits, two runs and two RBI in the night cap. Wright played a key role in Sunday’s 7-6 victory. After FDU put three runs on the board in the first frame of the finale, Wright helped the Bulldogs battle back with a sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the inning. Then, with Bryant facing a 6-5 ninth-inning deficit and down to its final out, the rookie singled ahead of Jimmy Titus’ walk-off homer.
