Delease was dominant against Bryant en-route to winning his third straight NEC decision. The rookie right-hander twirled a two-hit shutout in the second half of Saturday’s double dip in New Britain. Delease did not issue a walk and never allowed a runner past first base during the 8-0 triumph. Extremely efficient, the freshman fired 41 of his 65 pitches for strikes. A leadoff single in the first and a two-out single in the fourth were the lone hits that the Bulldogs managed against CCSU’s rookie righty. Delease closed out the game by retiring the last 10 men to face him. He has allowed only one run over his last three appearances.
