Thompson out-classed the 800m field at the Winthrop ADIDAS Invitational. Crossing the line in 2:07.48, the British-born half-miler struck gold and easily crushed the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships in the process. Having immediately ascended to the top of the NEC leader board, Thompson accounted for the fourth-fastest time in the NCAA Division I East Region thus far this season. Not only is the time a personal best for Thompson, but it set the FDU program record as well as the facility record at Winthrop.
