Alston’s second appearance of the outdoor season produced a CCSU program record in the 110m hurdles. The second-year Blue Devil crossed the line in 14.17 while contesting the finals at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational in Coral Gables, FL. Winning his heat by a notable margin, Alston placed third overall amongst collegiate competitors at the meet. Only Syracuse’s Freddie Crittenden and Pittsburgh’s Desmond Palmer posted faster finals times than the CCSU sophomore. Alston, who ranks second on the NEC leaderboard, has cracked the NCAA Division I East Region Top 25. His latest time marks a 0.14 second improvement on the Central record that he set in 2016 at Georgia Tech.
