Higgins built a six-game hitting streak last week, batting .476 (10-for-21) with two doubles, one homer, three RBI and six runs scored. The freshman shortstop recorded two hits in each of Robert Morris’ four NEC games. She earned her way on base five times (four hits, one walk) and came around to score three runs during the Colonials’ doubleheader sweep of Bryant last Monday. Higgins homered to erase a 1-0 deficit in the second inning of Sunday’s 3-1 win over LIU Brooklyn. In a mid-week double dip against A-10 member Saint Bonaventure, she accounted for two hits, two runs, one RBI and one stolen base.
