Reese carried the scoring load for the Red Flash on their swing through Brooklyn last week. Helping Saint Francis secure sole possession of first place, the senior guard averaged a conference-high 19.0 points per contest while shooting 50 percent from the field. Reese, who also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per victory, accounted for a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio as the Red Flash ran past LIU Brooklyn and St. Francis Brooklyn. The 5-foot-9 senior was deadly from downtown, sinking 9 of 18 three-point attempts during the two-game sample. Going 7-for-14 shooting, Reese tallied 19 points, five rebounds and three assists during Saturday’s 74-30 triumph over LIU. Two days later, she hit six triples on the way to a game-high 19 points at St. Francis Brooklyn. Playing 27 minutes in the 75-59 win, Reese accounted for nearly one-third of the Red Flash’s record 19 three-pointers. One of only two Red Flash to start all 23 games this season, Reese, who began her collegiate career at Manhattan, ranks sixth overall amongst NEC leaders in scoring average (13.4 ppg).
