Ramsey appears to have rounded into championship form just in time for the annual Northeast Conference title meet. Tuning up for the conference championships, the FDU senior hit a seasonal best in the shot put at the National Fastrack Invitational in Staten Island, NY. Competing at the site of the upcoming NEC Indoor Championships, Ramsey put the shot 17.84m (58’ 6.5”) to strengthen his lead over the conference. The performance, which ranks sixth overall on the IC4A regional leader board, earned him a silver medal at the meet. Hitting his biggest mark on his next-to-last throw, Ramsey led the competition heading into the final round before Princeton’s Chris Cook edged him by seven centimeters on his last attempt.
