Rasile, the Swimmer of the Meet at the 2016 NEC Swimming & Diving Championship, comes off a record-breaking weekend as Central Connecticut defeated NEC rival LIU Brooklyn on Saturday. Competing in her last home meet, the senior broke an 11-year-old pool record in the 100 freestyle. She won the event in 51:41, which tied her for the fifth-best showing in the NEC for the 2016-17 campaign. Rasile also anchored CCSU's winning 200 medley team with a blazing 23.29 anchor leg, the fastest 50 meter freestyle time in the conference this season. She then swam in the 200 freestyle relay as the Blue Devils won in 1:37.74, which also set a new pool record. Rasile swam the third leg in 23:55 for the fastest split of any swimmer in the race.
