Contesting the event for the first time this season, the three-time defending NEC Indoor long jump champion eclipsed the 23-foot mark and leapt into first place on the league leader board. Walker-Khan jumped 7.02m (23' 0.5") to earn a silver medal at the Great Dane Classic. The distance meets the qualifying standard for the IC4A Championships in March. The senior also ran a leg on the Blackbirds' 4x400m relay team.
